SBB and SB series  Solar storage tank
The solar storage tank is manufactured by Stiebel Eltron and features One (SB) and two (SBB)  independent heat exchangers and is specifically designed for a combination Solar Domestic Hot Water and Supplemental Solar Hydronic Heating. A high efficiency back-up unit, like a modulating gas boiler, will provide at very low running cost the necessary back-up for the DHW or the heating when the solar storage is exhausted. The tank is fully double glass lined and comes with an integrated temperature gauge and a flanged clean out in the bottom for convenient access and cleaning purposes. The tank features a thick 3" foam insulation.

Hubble SLN Solar storage tank
The solar storage tank is a heavy duty US manufactured and features corrosion resistant cement lining, copper silicon tapping and composite jacket. With a 2" polyurethane insulation and built-in heat trap it insures minimal operating cost. One independent heat exchanger and is specifically designed for a combination Solar Domestic Hot Water and closed loop freeze protected Thermal Solar Absorber. The fully removable copper heating coils heat-exchanger is maintenance friendly and provides longevity of the unit. One efficient electrical 4.5 kW back-up unit in the top third of the storage tank can provide the necessary back-up for the DHW when the solar storage is exhausted. We can provide different electrical back-up elements upon request. The tank comes with a nom pro rated 7 yr limited tank and parts warranty. 

Schüco WW series solar storage tank
The solar storage tank is manufactured by  Schueco international KG corporation. Modern storage technology  feature a two-coat vacuum glass lining in the DHW circuit. They are designed in accordance with the latest information on energy efficiency, energy conservation, functionality and corrosion protection. The units can be readily connected to the solar station using prefabricated connecting pipe assemblies.

How does that work with Solar Enrgy?
THE SOLAR ABSORBER COLLECTED THE SUN ENERGY AND PASSED THE ENERGY ON TO A LIQUID INSIDE THE ABSORBER. CLOSED SYSTEMS (WHERE FLIUD STAYS IN THE ABSORBER) ARE ANTI FREEZE PROTECTED.
THE LIQUID IS PUMPED THROUGH PIPING INTO A HEAT EXCHANGER,
WHICH IS PART OF A STORAGE UNIT LIKE A SOLAR STORAGE TANK, AND PASSES THE ENERGY INTO THE POTABLE WATER SO THAT IT GETS WARM. 
THE SOLAR STORAGE TANK NEEDS TO STORE THE ENERGY AS EFFICIENTLY AS POSSIBLE SO THAT YOU  CAN TAKE A SHOWER AT NIGHT AND STILL HAVE HOT WATER. GOOD STORAGE TANKS MAY ONLY LOSE 3-5 degree F OVER A 24  HOUR PERIOD. IF THE STORAGE IS USED UP, THE HEATING OF THE DOMESTIC HOT WATER NEEDS TO RELY ON A SUFFICIENT BACK-UP.

What does a YeS - solar system feature for storage do ?
We offer tanks in the sizes from 52 gal. all the way up to 156 gal. A good Tank- to Solar Absorber- Ratio will provide ample Domestic Hot Water and great recovery. But what if the storage is used up? Our systems feature high efficience back-up, like tankless water heaters, so that the solar storage volume does not have to be kept hot at the expense of costly energy from the utility - sound good?
