How does that work with Solar Enrgy?
THE Photo Voltaic (PV) SOLAR PANELCOLLECTED THE SUN ENERGY AND PASS THE ENRGY ON TO A SEMICONDUCTOR INSIDE THE SILCON BASED PANEL CALLED WAFFER. MULTIPLE WAFFERS ARE SODLERED TOGETHER IN STRINGS PASSING ON TOGETHER THE SUN ENERGY IN FORM OF ELCTRONS. 
THE ELECTRONS ARE "PUSHED" THROUGH WIRES INTO A TRANSFORMER.
(THE PUSHING ACTUALLAY COMES FROM THE SUNS ENRGY WHICH IS THE DRIVING FORCE).
THE ELECTRONS BEING PUSHED IN DIRECT CURRENT (DC) FROM THE PV PANEL TO THE INVERTER CONTAINING THE TRANSFORMER ARE TRASNFORMED INTO ALTERNATING CURRENT (AC) AND ELAVATED IN THE VOLTAGE AND GIVEN A FREQUENZ. THIS IS DONS SUCH THAT THE VOLTAGE AND FREQUENZ IS IDENTICAL TO THE ELECTRICTY PROVIDED BY THE GRID (POWER COMPANY). NOW IT IS READY TO BE USED AND METERED OR AS BACK-UP IN A POWER OUTAGE.
